  • Upgrade or switch tiers anytime from Billing — higher plans unlock more monthly credits, a higher daily Autopilot limit, and features like AI resume tailoring and the Aplyr Inbox.
  • Running low before your monthly allowance resets? Buy a one-off credit pack — no plan change required.
  • Everything (upgrades, downgrades, credit packs, invoices, and subscription changes) lives in one place: Billing.

How to upgrade your plan

For a detailed breakdown of what each plan includes, see Aplyr plans explained.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Upgrade to open the plan picker.
  3. Compare the tiers and choose the one that fits how much you want to apply.
  4. Confirm to continue to secure checkout, then enter your payment details.
  5. You're returned to Billing once payment succeeds — your new plan and credits are available right away.
💡 Tip Upgrades take effect immediately so you can use the higher allowance and limits straight away. Your credits carry your new plan's monthly allowance going forward.

How to buy more credits

Each application submission costs roughly one credit, and your plan refills a set allowance every month. If you exhaust your allowance early — say, during a heavy week of Autopilot applying — you can top up without upgrading.

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Buy more credits.
  3. Pick a credit pack and confirm at checkout.
  4. The credits are added to your balance immediately and never expire while your account is active.

📌 Note Failed submissions are automatically refunded, so you're only charged credits for applications that actually go through.

Upgrade vs. buy a credit pack

Both add credits — the difference is whether you want a permanent change:

  • Upgrade your plan when you're applying more every month. You get a larger recurring allowance plus a higher daily Autopilot limit and unlocked features.
  • Buy a credit pack for a one-time boost when you're close to your monthly reset and just need a little more runway.
💡 Tip Autopilot auto-pauses when you run out of credits. If a run stops mid-week, topping up or upgrading gets it moving again. Learn more in Daily limits, credits, and pausing.

Managing your subscription

All subscription changes — including plan switches and cancellations — happen inside the secure Stripe billing portal, which syncs back to Aplyr automatically within seconds.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Find the Plan card at the top, showing your current tier, status badge (such as Active or Payment issue), and renewal date.
  3. Click Manage subscription or Open portal in the Payment & invoices section.
  4. The Stripe billing portal opens in a new view. From there you can update your plan, payment method, or billing details.
  5. When done, close the portal or click the back link to return to Aplyr.

📌 Note The Manage subscription button only appears once you have a paid subscription. If you're on the Free plan, you'll see an Upgrade button instead — start a plan first, then return here to manage it.

Changing or canceling your plan

Inside the Stripe portal you can switch to a different tier or cancel altogether. Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect right away and unlocks that plan's features and credit allowance. When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period — you keep your features and remaining plan credits until then, and you won't be charged again.

Updating your payment method

To change the card on file, open the portal and update your payment method there. This is also where to go if you ever see a Payment issue badge on the Billing page — that means a charge didn't go through, so updating your card usually clears it and keeps your plan active.

⚠️ Warning If a payment keeps failing, your plan can lapse to Free, which lowers your daily Autopilot limit and can pause continuous applying. Update your card promptly to avoid interruptions.

Downloading invoices and receipts

Every charge — subscriptions and one-time credit packs — generates an invoice you can download as a PDF. Open the portal from Manage subscription or Open portal, then find your billing or invoice history to view and download each receipt.

📌 Note Credit purchases are separate from your subscription. Your monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle, while extra credit packs you buy don't expire. For details, see How credits work.
