Aplyr's core loop is simple: find jobs, apply to them, and track every application automatically. Most questions fall into one of the buckets below.

Applying

What's the difference between Quick Apply and Autopilot? Quick Apply submits a single job from Search or Today's Matches; Autopilot runs in the background finding and applying continuously. See Getting started with Autopilot for the full picture.

What do I need before I can apply? A reasonably complete profile, a default resume, and a connected email source for verification codes — then you're ready to go.

Does Autopilot ask before it applies? That's up to you: Review Queue mode queues jobs for approval first; Fully Automated submits on its own. See Getting started with Autopilot to switch between them.

An application didn't go through — what now? See Quick Apply or Autopilot didn't work — what to check for diagnosis steps.

💡 Tip New to Autopilot? Start in Review Queue so you can see exactly what it would apply to, then switch to Fully Automated once you're comfortable with the matches.

Tracking

How does Aplyr know about my applications? Your Tracker unifies everything — Quick Apply and Autopilot submissions, synced Gmail messages, and manual entries. See Application statuses and history for details.

What do the statuses mean? Applications progress through Applied, Assessment, Interview, Offer, and Rejected, plus helpers like Follow Up and Recruiter Reachout — explained in Application statuses and history.

Do confirmation and interview emails update my Tracker? Yes. Aplyr auto-threads matching emails onto the right application and can advance the status without manual work.

Credits

How are credits used? Roughly one credit per application. See How credits work for allowances, refunds, and refill options.

What happens when I run out? Autopilot auto-pauses. You can buy more or upgrade for a larger allowance. See Daily limits, credits, and pausing.

Which plan is right for me? Higher tiers unlock more monthly credits, higher daily limits, and features like AI resume tailoring and the Aplyr Inbox. Compare them at Billing or in Aplyr plans explained.

Email and verification codes

Why does Aplyr need my email? To auto-track confirmations and read verification codes from job sites. See Connecting your email.

What is the Aplyr Inbox? A dedicated @inbox.aplyr.co address for applying that keeps job activity off your personal inbox. See Your Aplyr Inbox for availability and setup.

Which email does Aplyr read codes from? Your chosen verification source — Gmail or Aplyr Inbox — never your account sign-up email. See How Aplyr reads verification codes.

📌 Note Seeing a Reconnect Gmail warning? Your Google connection expired. See Fixing "Reconnect Gmail" warnings to fix it.

Privacy

Does Aplyr read my whole inbox? No — only job-related messages like confirmations, interview invites, and codes. The Aplyr Inbox keeps this activity separate from your personal email.

How are my resumes stored? Securely, only for applying on your behalf. See Resume storage, privacy, and security for details.

Can I export or delete my data? Yes. See Exporting your data or deleting your account.

⚠️ Warning Disabling the Aplyr Inbox permanently deletes the address and all its mail. Switch your verification source to Gmail first if you're using it for codes.
