Review Queue vs. Fully Automated
Compare Autopilot's two modes — Review Queue (approve each job first) and Fully Automated (it submits for you) — plus when credits count and how to switch.

- Review Queue lines up each matched job and waits for you to Accept or Reject before anything is submitted.
- Fully Automated finds matches and submits them for you, hands-off, up to your daily limit.
- You're charged a credit only when an application is actually submitted — rejecting or skipping a queued job costs nothing.
- Switch modes anytime from Autopilot under Mode.
Autopilot continuously finds jobs that match your preferences and applies for you. The Mode setting decides one thing: whether you get a say before each application goes out, or whether Aplyr just submits.
What each mode does
Review Queue puts you in control. Aplyr does the searching and prepares each application, then parks it in your queue. Nothing is submitted until you say so. The description in the app reads "Accept or reject each job before we apply." Use this when you want to vet companies and roles, or you're still dialing in your filters.
Fully Automated is fully hands-off. Aplyr submits every matching application for you automatically, with no approval step. In the app this option is marked Recommended and described as "Aplyr submits automatically without your review." Use it once you trust your matches and want maximum volume with minimal effort.

How to choose or switch your mode
- Go to Autopilot.
- Find the Mode section in your Autopilot settings.
- Select Review Queue to approve each job first, or Fully Automated to let Aplyr submit for you.
- Your choice saves automatically and applies to the next jobs Autopilot finds.
💡 Tip You can switch back and forth as often as you like. A common pattern is to start in Review Queue for a few days, then flip to Fully Automated once you're happy with the matches showing up.
Working your Review Queue
When you're in Review Queue mode, each prepared job appears in your queue with a header showing how many are ready for your review. For each one you can:
- Accept — submit the application now. This is when a credit is used.
- Reject — skip it. No application is sent and no credit is charged.
You can also open a queued item to see the full job details before deciding. Jobs sit in your queue waiting for you, so check in regularly — they won't submit on their own. For more on managing the list, see Managing your Autopilot queue.
When credits are deducted
It works the same way in both modes: roughly one credit is used per application submission.
- In Fully Automated, a credit is used each time Aplyr submits a job for you.
- In Review Queue, a credit is used only when you Accept a job. Jobs you Reject or leave in the queue cost nothing.
- If a submission fails, that credit is refunded automatically.
📌 Note Autopilot stops once you hit your Daily Application Limit (it resets at UTC midnight) and auto-pauses if you run out of credits — regardless of which mode you're in. See Daily limits, credits, and pausing.
Good to know
💡 Tip New to Autopilot? Review Queue is the safest way to learn what your filters surface. Reject anything off-target a few times, and your sense of the matches will sharpen fast.
⚠️ Warning In Fully Automated mode, applications go out without a confirmation step. Make sure your profile, default resume, and Autopilot filters are set up the way you want before turning it on — that's what determines which jobs get submitted.
