How Quick Apply Works
Quick Apply submits a single job application for you in seconds — straight from Search or Today's Matches — and tracks it automatically.

- Quick Apply submits one job application for you instantly, right from Search or Today's Matches.
- You need three things ready: a reasonably complete profile, a default resume, and a connected email source (Gmail or your Aplyr Inbox) so Aplyr can read the verification code.
- After you submit, Aplyr applies in the background and the application auto-appears in your Tracker.
What is Quick Apply?
Quick Apply is the fastest way to apply to a single job. Instead of opening the company's career site, filling out the same fields again, and copy-pasting verification codes, you click one button and Aplyr completes the whole application for you — including the parts most application forms have difficulty with, like the verification code an ATS emails you mid-application.
Use it when you've found a specific role you like. If you'd rather apply to many matching jobs continuously and hands-free, use Autopilot instead. (Not sure which fits? See Quick Apply vs Autopilot.)
Before you start: what you need
Quick Apply uses your saved details to fill the application, so make sure these are in place:
- A reasonably complete profile — your contact info, work history, and the common questions employers ask. Complete your profile.
- A default resume — the resume Aplyr attaches to your applications. Upload your resume.
- A connected email source — Gmail or your Aplyr Inbox. Many companies email a verification code partway through the application, and Aplyr needs to read it to finish. Connect your email.
⚠️ Warning If no inbox is connected, Quick Apply is blocked — the button shows Connect Inbox instead of Submit Application. Aplyr never uses your account sign-up email for codes; it reads them from whichever source you set as your preferred verification inbox.
How to Quick Apply to a job
- Go to Search (or open Today's Matches) and find a role you want.
- Click Quick Apply on the job. A confirmation card opens with the company, the job title, and the inbox Aplyr will use.
- Check the Submitting via line — it shows the email that will receive verification codes, tagged either Gmail or Aplyr Inbox.
- Click Submit Application.
- The card switches to Submitting now and Aplyr finishes the application in the background.

📌 Note If your profile is missing required details, you'll see a Complete Your Profile prompt listing exactly what to add. Fill those in, then come back and Quick Apply again.
What happens after you submit
Submission runs in the background, so you can keep browsing other jobs right away. Aplyr fills the form, attaches your default resume, and — when the ATS asks for one — fetches the verification code from your connected inbox automatically. You can watch live progress in Autopilot, and once it's submitted the job appears in your Tracker with the status Applied.
From there, Aplyr keeps tracking it for you: confirmation and interview emails auto-thread onto the matching application, and the status updates as your application moves forward. See how tracking works.
Each application uses a credit
Quick Apply spends roughly one credit per submission. If a submission fails, that credit is refunded automatically. You can review your balance and top up on the Billing page — see how credits work.
How it differs from applying manually
Applying manually means opening each company's site, re-entering your details, uploading your resume, and handling verification codes yourself — every single time. Quick Apply does all of that in one click and records the result for you. The main differences:
- One click vs. a full form — Aplyr reuses your profile and default resume instead of you re-typing them.
- Codes handled for you — Aplyr reads ATS verification codes from your connected inbox automatically.
- Tracked automatically — the application lands in your Tracker, where manual applications would need to be added by hand.
💡 Tip Want the same convenience across many roles without clicking each one? Turn on Autopilot to apply continuously while you do other things.
