Aplyr's core loop is simple: find jobs, apply to them, and track every application automatically. Most questions fall into one of the buckets below.

Applying

What's the difference between Quick Apply and Autopilot? Quick Apply submits a single job the moment you click it, from Search or Today's Matches. Autopilot runs in the background, continuously finding matches and applying for you. Most people use both — see Quick Apply vs Autopilot.

What do I need before I can apply? A reasonably complete profile, a default resume, and a connected email source for verification codes. Once those are in place, you're ready to go.

Does Autopilot ask before it applies? That's up to you. Review Queue mode queues each job for your approval first; Fully Automated mode submits on its own. Switch anytime — see Review Queue vs Fully Automated mode.

An application didn't go through — what now? Walk through Quick Apply or Autopilot didn't work — what to check. Most issues come down to an incomplete profile, a missing default resume, or a disconnected email source.

💡 Tip New to Autopilot? Start in Review Queue so you can see exactly what it would apply to, then switch to Fully Automated once you're comfortable with the matches.

Tracking

How does Aplyr know about my applications? Your Tracker unifies everything — applications from Quick Apply and Autopilot, anything Aplyr finds by syncing your Gmail, and entries you add by hand. See How application tracking works.

What do the statuses mean? Applications move through Applied, Assessment, Interview, Offer, and Rejected, plus helpers like Follow Up, Recruiter Reachout, Job Board, and Other. Details are in Application statuses and history.

Do confirmation and interview emails update my Tracker? Yes. When Aplyr reads a matching email, it auto-threads it onto the right application and can advance the status for you — no manual filing required.

Credits

How are credits used? Roughly one credit per application submission. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance, new users get trial credits, and any failed submission is refunded. See How credits work.

What happens when I run out? Autopilot auto-pauses, and you can buy more credits or upgrade for a larger monthly allowance. Your daily application limit also resets at UTC midnight. See Daily limits, credits, and pausing.

Which plan is right for me? Higher tiers grant more monthly credits, a higher daily Autopilot limit, and unlock features like AI resume tailoring and the Aplyr Inbox. Compare them on the Billing page or in Aplyr plans explained.

Email and verification codes

Why does Aplyr need my email? So it can auto-track applications from confirmation emails and read the verification codes some job sites send during the apply flow. Connect a source in Integrations — see Connecting your email.

What is the Aplyr Inbox? A dedicated @inbox.aplyr.co address you can apply with instead of your personal email. Aplyr monitors it to track applications and read verification codes, without touching your own inbox. It's optional and available on Pro and Ultra — see Your Aplyr Inbox.

Which email does Aplyr read codes from? Whichever you set as your preferred verification source — your connected Gmail or your Aplyr Inbox. It never uses your account sign-up email. See How Aplyr reads verification codes.

📌 Note Seeing a Reconnect Gmail warning? Your Google connection has expired and verification codes and email tracking will pause until you reconnect. Fix it in a click — see Fixing "Reconnect Gmail" warnings.

Privacy

Does Aplyr read my whole inbox? No. Aplyr looks for job-related messages — application confirmations, interview invites, and verification codes — to keep your Tracker accurate. The Aplyr Inbox keeps this activity off your personal email entirely.

How are my resumes stored? Securely, and only used to apply on your behalf. For specifics on storage and security, see Resume storage, privacy, and security.

Can I export or delete my data? Yes — you can export your data or delete your account at any time. See Exporting your data or deleting your account.

⚠️ Warning Disabling the Aplyr Inbox permanently deletes the address and all of its mail. If you're using it as your verification source, switch your preferred source to Gmail first so codes keep coming through.
